On 14 May 2024, Ambassador Cao Zhongming met with Permanent Secretary Stanley Loh of the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment.

Mr Loh expressed his welcome to Ambassador Cao in assuming new post and expressed that Singapore and China had been working closely in the areas of environmental protection, addressing climate change and ensuring food safety and security. Mr Loh said that there was plenty of room for cooperation in the future, Singaporean side was willing to have in-depth exchanges with the Chinese counterpart to promote practical cooperation between the two countries to a higher level.

Ambassador Cao said that Singapore was actively promoting green transformation and development, and is currently at the forefront of the region in many areas. He looked forward to promoting the exchange of experience and cooperation between the two countries in relevant areas during his stay in Singapore.
