On 6 June 2008, the Chinese Embassy in Singapore received S$ 500,000 of donation funds for the people in the earthquake-stricken areas in Sichuan, China. From 13 May till now, the Embassy has received S$ 16.5 million (about RMB 84.48 million), and about 38,000 person-times have come to the Embassy for donation.
