On 12 June 2008, the Chinese Embassy in Singapore received S$ 1.3 million of donation funds for the people in the earthquake-stricken areas in Sichuan, China. From 13 May till now, the Embassy has received S$ 17.8 million (about RMB 91.13 million), and about 40,000 person-times have come to the Embassy for donation.
